Bilia

Business Need

As the largest Nordic car dealer, Bilia strives to provide the best service in the business—melding quality and quantity. (In Norway, Bilia serves as agent for Volvo, Renault, Ford, BMW, Mini, Nissan and Honda.) The company had previously built a search functionality for used cars into their website, and now sought to provide a similar service for mobile users. As a jumping-off point, Bilia’s plan was to test the new mobile site during the Norway Cup in July 2009. The event is a large draw for sports enthusiasts and families and attracts much attention to Oslo every summer.

Project AND Process

mobilepeople worked closely with Bilia to develop a mobile used car search solution that closely mirrored the web version. Both were linked so that all information on available cars will immediately be updated on both versions without additional effort. For the purposes of the launch, the mobile used car search displayed only cars from Bilia dealers in the Oslo area. Bilia also mined mobilepeople’s extensive advertising network consisting of Norway’s largest mobile media portals (including VG, Dagbladet and Aftenposten).

Result

During the Norway Cup event in July, the advertising campaign was shown exactly 1,561,502 times and generated 4,233 clicks from interested mobile users—which resulted in a total click rate of 0.27%.

Nykredit

Business need

One of Denmark’s foremost financial forces, Nykredit is a leading financial group with activities in mortgage, banking, insurance, retirement, and estate business. In addition, Nykredit Group is the second largest creditor in Denmark, the largest mortgage lender, and one of the largest private bond issuers in Europe. Currently, the company commands a market share of 40 percent and employs more than 4,400 people.

When Nykredit approached mobilepeople, their goal was to strengthen its bank business and lure new customers in the Danish market. Their hope was to embrace mobile advertising as a new and exciting way to directly interact with potential and existing customers.

Project and process

Nykredit’s first step was to target potential customers for mortgage lending. As such, the company established a mobile advertising campaign titled "Andelsboliglån" targeted at people looking for a new home. mobilepeople stepped in to develop a mobile portal that would deliver new leads directly to Nykredit, along with a media plan that included the selection of relevant distribution sources. The campaign was conducted in various channels within mobilepeople’s ad network, including Berlingske Tidende, TV2 and Bold.dk.

Result

At the conclusion of the campaign, more than 2,000 people had contacted Nykredit to talk Andelsboliglån. Nykredit was pleased with the results of the campaign and is now excited about future mobile advertising possibilities with mobilepeople.
